News of Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest in New York City this weekend reverberated around American political circles in record time, and with a whole heck of a lot of volume.
Epstein, a billionaire financier, has again been arrested in connection to his alleged pedophilia – a crime of which he was found guilty years ago but escaped appropriate punishment as part of a secret plea deal. This time around, Epstein is being charged in connection with the sex trafficking of young women, with prosecutors now asking that bail be denied on account of his flight risk.
Epstein was a well known political figure as well, with a number of acquaintances in former and current roles at the highest levels of government. This reality has been the subject of numerous internet conspiracy theories as of late, but is also gaining some credence due to a certain Washington insider’s frightening tweet.
“This Epstein case is horrific and the young women deserve justice. It is quite likely that some of our faves are implicated but we must follow the facts and let the chips fall where they may – whether on Republicans or Democrats,” Pelosi wrote Sunday on Twitter following reports of Epstein’s Saturday arrest.
Epstein’s connections could come in handy, with unverified reports of his legal team offering up a plea deal in which the billionaire throws other involved individuals under the bus in the pursuit of leniency.
SCOOP: Epstein's lawyer has already made a proffer to SDNY. Epstein will agree to cooperate with the investigation, including giving up the names of individuals that paid for activities with underage girls in exchange for a maximum sentence not to exceed 5 years – @OANN

The possible plea deal is certainly not a popular one among Americans, who would much rather see Epstein face the maximum potential sentence for his gluttony of egregious crimes.
