UFC Fighter Yoel Romero: “What Happened to You USA?” You Forgot Jesus Christ!

Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight fighter Yoel Romero recently called out to America, confronting her with forgetting her God, the Lord Jesus Christ. Following his victory of Lyoto Machida with a knockout, Romero asked, "What happened to you, USA?... Go for Jesus!"

Following his victory, Romero took the mic and called on the people to listen to what he had to say.

"I want to say something," he began. "I'll try English. Hey, UFC! Hey, Miami! Hey, Florida! Listen, people. Listen, listen, listen."

While some of his English is quite broken, considering that he emigrated from Cuba in 2007, Romero realizes what many of us do and that we have turned our backs upon the God of our founding, and I'm speaking of the original founders, the Pilgrims.

"What happened to you, USA? What happened to you? What's going on? You forget the best of the best in the world? The name is Jesus Christ? What happened to you? Wake up, USA! Go back. Go for Jesus. No for gay [possibly forget] - Jesus, people!"

I inserted a possible understanding of what he was attempting to say, considering the context.

While some encouraged his message, homofascists and their supporters, as always, wanted to beat him down and demanded he apologize and be terminated from the UFC! See? They don't want freedom, they want tyranny.

Romero used the opportunity of a press conference to clarify what he said.

"What I was trying to say in the Octagon was, look for the American dream," he said.

However, he was explicit in message of repentance from sin and presenting that message out of love for the sinner.

"First of all, I'm a man of God," he said in his native language with a translator translating. "And God is love. My expressions are always going to be about love."

"There is a misunderstanding about 'gay marriage,'" he continued. "God told Mary Magdalene, 'You are a prostitute, Go and don't sin anymore' and He told her with love."

"Who am I to judge anybody, even though I didn't refer to that," he added.

He went on to say that he must look at himself and judge himself first and then added, "I didn't refer to anybody," he said. "What I was trying to say was, 'United States, thank you for giving me the American dream.' There's no better country than this one because it is blessed by God. It's in the dollars [God is printed on the money] that this country was made by Christian people. That means it's blessed by God."
