Do you have boys? Have you been around any young boys in your lifetime? Parented them? Are you proud of their differences from girls, understanding that God has designed them uniquely to function as protector, as leader and as masculine? Or, are you a panty-waist liberal who shudders at the thought of a boy acting like a boy…pretending to be a grown man, a hero, a savior of someone in need?
Apparently, as in most public schools today, Virginia doesn’t want boys who act like boys. Rather than understanding the real threats amongst us: Disarming the people, illegal aliens, the infiltration of Islam in America, and Marxism, we make the “target” young white males role-playing the real life battle of good vs evil.
At this point, I have five boys, and even the youngest boy who is currently about 11 months, shows a male side. Taking a play hammer and beating it on a play tool set is a boy thing to do. Playing with a pretend gun seems to be innately born into them. In fact, even some mothers I know who decidedly attempted to instill femininity into their boys by removing any “male dominated” play items, have found their toddler and preschool sons acting out fight scenes and using their fingers to simulate pretend guns in imaginative play. This is with zero exposure to the “violence” that gun-haters like to pretend is the source. Are these real life boys “future killers”? According to Suffolk County, Virginia public schools they just may be:
“Suffolk Public Schools spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said a pencil is considered a weapon when it’s pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made.”
Did the boys have weapons in their possession? No. Did the boys hurt someone or threaten someone with an actual weapon with the capability to do harm? No. Now, children are considered criminal if they simply make believe. From CBS local news:
Two Suffolk second graders have been suspended for making shooting noises while pointing pencils at each other.
Media outlets report the 7-year-old boys were suspended for two days for a violation of the Suffolk school system’s zero-tolerance policy on weapons. They were playing with one another in class Friday at Driver Elementary.
“When I asked him about it, he said, ‘Well I was being a Marine and the other guy was being a bad guy,’” said Paul Marshall, one of the boys’ fathers. “It’s as simple as that.”
Marshall, a former Marine, said he believes school officials overreacted.
Gee, you think so? I don’t know when parents are going to stop putting up with this ridiculous garbage of public schools. I’m thankful today that my daughters: feminine and gentle, AND my sons, rough, tumble, and inherently masculine by design are home. Imaginations and pretend gun play and all. My prayer for them is not that they ignore their boy side in favor of spineless liberal feminization, but that they learn that their unique male qualities are the very qualities given by God that are sincerely lacking in our nation’s leadership today.
