Twitter “Verifies” Man Who Claims to Be Bill Clinton’s Illegitimate Son

In a saga that will probably soon appear on tabloids next to supermarket checkout counters, Twitter has just given a ‘verified’ badge to Danney Williams, an Arkansas resident who claims to be Bill Clinton’s illegitimate son. Knowing the proclivities of ‘Slick Willy’, we wouldn’t put it past him to have one or several illegitimate children.

In the following video, Right Wing News muses as to whether or not Williams could really be Clinton’s son, and the implications if so. Williams has been openly campaigning for Clinton to provide a DNA sample, even telling Hillary “I heard Hillary say she spent her life helping children … If black lives truly matter to her, why not mine?” Of course, considering that Hillary has turned a blind eye to her husband’s many indiscretions for the sake of power, why should this be any different?

A blue check by your name on your Twitter account is a pretty big deal. It bestows a certain degree of importance and legitimacy upon a public figure.

So, imagine Bill Clinton’s surprise and consternation when Twitter bestowed that insignia of legitimacy — called a “verified badge” — on the account of a man who claims to be Clinton’s illegitimate son.

That’s exactly what happened to Danney Williams, an Arkansas resident who claims that Bill Clinton, then the governor of his state, had an affair with his mother and fathered him.

According to Twitter, the verified badge is used “if it is determined to be an account of public interest.” Twitter makes clear the badge does not “imply an endorsement,” but it does signify the Twitter user should be taken seriously. Here’s the blue check mark that’s no doubt got the left furious:

According to the New York Daily News:

The story first emerged during the 1990s but became a secondary issue during the presidential campaign last year. In a news conference at the National Press Club just days before the election in November, Williams appealed not only to Bill, but also to Hillary Clinton to acknowledge him.

“I also want to take this opportunity to appeal to my stepmom, Hillary Clinton,” Williams said. “She has the power to have Bill Clinton provide a DNA sample. I heard Hillary say she spent her life helping children … If black lives truly matter to her, why not mine?

“Why don’t you care about me, Hillary? Are you embarrassed about me? Hillary, are you ashamed of me? I am black, I am real,” he continued. “Hillary, please don’t deny my existence. You are my stepmother, Chelsea is my sister, Bill Clinton is my father.

“Please just step up at this time and treat me like the equal member of your family.”

Somewhat unsurprisingly, quite unlike Twitter, Hillary hasn’t exactly stepped up to acknowledge Williams.

To add insult to injury, the Williams check mark came on the same day as James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which definitely didn’t go quite as the left had hoped.

Heck, if it weren’t for the surprising strength of Labour and Jeremy Corbyn in the U.K. general election, June 8 would have been the most disappointing day for the left since … well, Nov. 8.

The blue check mark may not be as damning as the blue dress, and it certainly doesn’t prove that Williams is Clinton’s son. However, the fact that we can even talk about it is yet another reminder that Bill Clinton is a satyric libertine with severely diminished impulse control and that Hillary Clinton has spent decades enabling him. Not bad for one little mark.
