In this world of extreme political polarization, boiling down our differences into their lowest common denominators can be both difficult and dangerous.
There is a massive schism between the right and the left here in America, and similar divisions also exist on the world’s stage as well. This Team A versus Team B mentality certainly isn’t healthy, but it exists as a distraction from the true dichotomy of the global community: Globalism or populism.
The left’s idea of globalism is simple: As a planet, we should be working together to ensure the safety and health of all people. Sounds great, right?
The issue is that globalism is no longer considered a “help when you can” situation. Instead, it has become the battle cry for an international order of pseudo-socialism that looks to redistribute the wealth of nations to combat issues such as the hotly contested idea of “climate change”.
Predictably, not everyone is going to be on-board with every tenet of globalism, and as such, the American political right has found themselves battling against such a new world order for some time.
President Trump is no exception, and he let the United Nations know it.
President Trump on Tuesday used his speech to the U.N. General Assembly to decry Iran’s “bloodlust,” while touting the importance of national sovereignty, warning: “The future does not belong to globalists.”
“If you want freedom, take pride in your country,” he said. “If you want democracy, hold on to your sovereignty and if you want peace, love your nation.”
“Wise leaders always put the good of their own people and their country first. The future does not belong to globalists, the future belongs to patriots,” he said. “The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations who protect their citizens, respect their neighbors and honor the differences that make each country special and unique.”
Trump would go on to state that Iran should “never” be allowed to possess nuclear weapons – a poignant moment given the latest tensions over Tehran’s behavior in the Middle East.
Furthermore, the President insisted that he was determined to balance the trade conflict between the United States and China, returning stability to the litany of American agriculturalists currently suffering through an extraordinary trade war between the two superpowers.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
