With each passing day, the Democrats believe that they are chipping away at the grand vitality of the Commander in Chief.
It is through impeachment that the liberal left has been given this false sense of achievement, as they toil away in secret and not-so-secret chambers alike. With each witness they bring forward, and for each charge that they believe they are building, there is an arrogant air of accomplishment.
But they’re missing one serious point, however, and President Trump isn’t afraid to let them know it.
“People are angry about it … and it’s made Republicans and people that vote for me, not just Republicans, really angry … because it’s a hoax,” he said.
The rhetoric shows Trump deploying the same playbook he used during former special counsel Robert S. Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election.
And the President is right: There is a sincere and suffocating sense of resentment hanging over Capitol Hill as of late, as the “formal impeachment inquiry” continues to occupy the time of our elected officials and prevents them from working on the issues on which they were elected.
Additionally, President Trump’s ability to withstand the so-far endless bevy of attacks leveled at him has imbued the Commander in Chief with a sense of resiliency and vigor that can only arise through the slings and arrows of constant resistance.
