Amid the turmoil of this newly announced “impeachment inquiry”, the Trump Train is still barreling down the tracks, working through all of the pressing diplomatic and economic issues our nation faces.
The unflappable businessman has long been engaged in a bitter, often nasty trade war with China. Tariffs have been traded back and forth almost as frequently as the verbal barbs have, leading to a bit of a pickle for the President.
Suffering most heartily from this economic aggression are American farmers, particularly those working the soybean fields, who have found their unsold crops piling up in storage.
Now, amid one of the more tumultuous moments in his presidency, Donald Trump has indicated that a breakthrough with Beijing could soon be on the horizon.
President Trump said the U.S. may reach a trade deal with China “sooner than you think,” sending stock markets to their highest levels of the day.
“We have created the greatest economy in the history of our country, the greatest economy in the world,” Trump said, referring to his administration’s loosening of corporate regulations and GOP-led tax cuts.
Then came the clincher.
“Had my opponent won, China would right now be the No. 1 economy by far,” Trump said. “Right now, China is way behind us, and they’ll never catch us if we have smart leadership. We’ve picked up trillions dollars and they’ve lost trillions of dollars. And they want to make a deal very badly and it could happen sooner than you think.”
While the rest of the nation is focused on the wild circus of impeachment, American agriculturists could soon be celebrating.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
