With the signing of yet another Executive Order, Barack Obama is set to increase the official population of the United States by 5 million overnight. His plan is to remove the threat of deportation to undocumented immigrants living in the United States.
Republicans argue that the action is beyond the president’s authority and that they will fight hard to prevent the bill passing into law.
It’s thought Obama will make his move soon, to avoid the possibility of immigration being brought into the government funding debate.
Currently, the government only has funding to run up until December 11th and the Republicans want a statement added to any budget bill prohibiting the use of funding to accommodate the presidents ideas on immigration.
Including such a statement could be vetoed by Obama or blocked by the Democrats, either option raises the risk of a government shutdown.Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
