If the parlance of our modern day existed in 1776, our Founding Fathers would almost certainly have been labeled “terrorists” by the British government.
They were an insurgent force, who rose up against their government violently. They made literal war with militias such as the Minute Men, and attacked British ships in Boston Harbor. We revere them as heroes, (no Paul pun intended), because they won, and because their cause was just.
Also possessing a just cause is the National Rifle Association, who are fighting for the very rights that the Founding Fathers guaranteed to us. Now, they too, are falling under the auspices of “terrorism”.
The resolution, which passed Tuesday and says the U.S. is “plagued by an epidemic of gun violence,” accuses the NRA of using “its considerable wealth and organization strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence.”
“All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in America do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence,” the resolution says.
The move comes just months after New Jersey labeled radical leftist organization Antifa a domestic terror outfit, leaving many to wonder whether or not this latest misuse of the “terror” designation is nothing more than petty payback.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
