Surgeon General Enlists Star Power to Help Tame Ignorant and Arrogant Millennials

Amid all of the frustration and loneliness of the coronavirus pandemic currently engulfing the globe, one particular segment of the population seems to be throwing caution to the wind…and that’s a problem.

Millennials the nation over have refused to take the threat of COVID-19 seriously, with spring break partygoers in Florida proving one of the most stark and alarming examples of the sheer arrogance of the moment.

This is foolish, ignorant, and dangerous – obviously – and now the surgeon general is taking extraordinary measures in order to reach these misguided youths.

Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams has asked celebrity influencers like Kylie Jenner and NBA star Kevin Durant to tell their millions of young followers to heed the federal government’s coronavirus warnings by practicing social distancing and staying at home as much as possible.

His words were stern and stark.

Speaking on ABC’s Good Morning America, Dr. Jerome Adams said influencers like Kylie Jenner, Kevin Durant, and Donovan Mitchell play an important role in getting the message out to millennials.

“We need to get our social media influencers out there and helping folks understand that, look, this is serious. This is absolutely serious. People are dying,” Dr. Adam said Thursday. He added that new data from Italy show that younger people may be at higher risk than originally thought.

“But think about your grandmother, think about your grandfather, think about the fact you’re spreading a disease which could ultimately be what kills them.”

Some, including socialite Kylie Jenner and NBA star Donovan Mitchell have already pushed for their fans to take the COVID-19 threat seriously, and we can only hope that others will as well.  The sooner we take this seriously, the sooner we’ll be able to return to our regularly scheduled lives.
