What’s so amazing to me is some of the whiny responses from celebrities. Take a look at this little montage of five celebrities’ responses to Trump’s win.
Many anti-Trump protesters decided to take their frustrations out by painting “Die Whites die” on monuments (as if this is an ethnic issue), erupting in violence in the streets, shootings, student walk outs, and engaging in Trump protests across the country.
However, it’s the fact that people are actually calling suicide prevention hotlines in record numbers that is astounding to me.
The Hill reports:
Phones have been ringing off the hook at suicide hotlines since Donald Trump was named president-elect Tuesday.
According to multiple reports, many of those calling or texting into hotlines are members of the LGBTQ community, minorities and victims of sexual assault who are worried about Trump’s victory.
The Suicide Prevention Lifeline told “The Washington Post” it is seeing calls “unmatched in the hotline’s history,” with a response unlike that in 2008 or 2012.
Election stress is nothing new. Psychologists have noted upticks in anxiety and stress during and following contentious election cycles. This specific election, many have observed, is no exception and is exceeding average numbers in those seeking mental care and counseling.
In response to some of the whininess of Trump’s opposition, a new PSA has been created to help those people deal with their “trauma.”
First, one should put their hope in God, not a man, especially if they are looking for some sort of political savior like many have been in the past few elections.
While I’m not looking for Trump to be a savior by any means, nor am I actually looking for him to be all that constitutional (and will call him out on it), his victory should not be responded to with violence to suicide. All of those kinds of responses indicate that many in the US have simply abandoned the God of their fathers and embrace the Beast as their god (Rev. 13).Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
