‘Struggling’ Bar Owner in Biden Ad Who Claimed Trump Hurt His Business is a Multi-Millionaire Biden Donor

A man who is seen in a Joe Biden campaign ad claiming that he is a “struggling” businessman hurt by Trump’s COVID policies is actually a multi-millionaire who is a huge Biden donor.

The man, Joe Malcoun, portrays himself as a small business owner who is “struggling” because of Trump, and says small business owners must vote Biden or risk losing their livelihoods.

But it turns out that Malcoun — who owns the Michigan-based “Blind Pig” bar seen in the Biden ad — is not in any danger of “struggling” because he is a super wealthy Big Tech investor who is buttressed by a large family inheritance.

The man’s history was uncovered by the Washington Free Beacon:

According to a 2018 interview with local NBC affiliate Click on Detroit, Malcoun became a well-known “angel investor” in local tech startups after receiving a large inheritance from his wife’s late grandfather roughly a decade ago. He described the inheritance as “almost like winning the lottery.”

“Usually you become a CEO and you make money, and then the money allows you to become an angel investor first,” he said. “I happened to have different circumstances where I had money [first].”

But in the Biden ad, Malcoun presents himself as a middle-class business owner who fears that he won’t be able to get through the coronavirus pandemic.

One other thing makes the lie to this Biden ad. The draconian COVID shutdown of Michigan’s small businesses was perpetrated by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a far-left Democrat.

Michigan’s businesses have not been affected by anything Trump has done. It is all due to their Democrat governor’s policies, not Trump’s.

Update – Wednesday Afternoon

The Biden campaign has deleted its “Blind Pig” campaign ad after the “struggling” bar owner was outed as an ultra wealthy investor in Bit Tech.

The that millionaire, Joe Malcoun, suddenly set his Twitter account to “protected” so the people can no longer see his tweets.
