State Department Ratchets Up Hillary Email Probe

The State Department has stepped up the email probe of dozens of former Hillary Clinton aides according to The Washington Post.

Trump’s administration is investigating the emails of dozens of current and former senior State Department officials who sent emails to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email. As many as 130 officials have been contacted in recent weeks by investigators from the State Department.

The question of whether Clinton improperly used a private email account and server while secretary of state led to Trump’s repeat assertion that she deserved to be put in prison and frequent chants of “lock her up” at his political rallies.

Following an FBI investigation into the matter, former director James Comey did not recommend charges against Clinton but did describe her conduct as “extremely careless.”

In recent weeks, up to 130 officials have been contacted by State Department investigators concerning emails they sent years ago which have been retroactively classified, nearly all of which were sent to or eventually made their way into Clinton’s unsecure email account, the Post reported.

The paper, which cited current and former officials, said State Department investigators began contacting employees approximately 1.5 years ago, before the effort trailed off, only to be revived again in August. More

Imagine if the Clinton’s were investigated with the same scrutiny that Trump has been. I’d love to see those results. The Justice Department needs to show there is not a two-tiered justice system and hold all people’s wrongdoing accountable!

This is extremely bad for Democrats. Hillary Clinton was the focus of the original investigation, and she was not charged when most legal experts believe she should have been. If the Justice Dept. charges one or more of the “lesser” people who sent the same kinds of emails that Hillary received on the insecure server, and then and sent out again, then it exposes the corruption of the Hillary case.
