Sayonara Kamala: Harris Campaign Shutters Offices, Goes All-In on Iowa

For many millennials, the time of year between Halloween and Thanksgiving is known as “cuffing season” – an homage to the idea of finding a likely-temporary romantic engagement that will provide all the benefits of having a fresh and interested partner during the holidays, with only a slight expectation of having the tryst last beyond that.

For the 2020 Democrats, however, it may as well be un-cuffing season.

Just this week we’ve seen El Paso native and gun control obsessive Beto O’Rourke drop from the race that he believed that he was “born to” run.

Now, it looks very much like Senator Kamala Harris is next on the chopping block.

Sen. Kamala Harris’s (D-CA) campaign is laying off campaign staff and closing three offices in New Hampshire, a crucial early primary state, as part of its effort to go “all-in on Iowa,” according to reports.

Harris’s campaign will no longer have a heavy presence in New Hampshire, reportedly laying off campaign staff and closing offices in Nashua, Portsmouth, and Keene, in order to focus entirely on Iowa. While Harris’s office in Manchester will remain open, WMUR confirmed that it will be “scaled down.”

The Harris campaign also told WMUR that Harris has cancelled her scheduled visit to New Hampshire on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. While Harris will not file her candidacy herself, her name will “100 percent be placed on the ballot,” the campaign said, either by a surrogate or by mail.

Harris is also recruiting staffers from Nevada in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to garner support in the Hawkeye State.

Harris’ gamble in Iowa represents a final flailing for the race-baiting candidate, who has suffered mightily in the wake of a Black History Month blunder.

In February of 2019, after being pressed on her record as a prosecutor known for her brutal treatment of non-violent drug offenders, Harris attempted to laugh it off by saying that she used to “smoke weed” and listen to Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg during college.  Internet sleuths swiftly discovered that this would have been impossible, as neither artist had released any music during the time in which Harris was educating herself.  This fabrication essentially outed Kamala as a race-panderer, which is a death sentence in progressive circles.
