Sarah Sanders has high hopes for 2020, believing impeachment will push GOP over the top

Nancy Pelosi has now officially rolled the dice, and not everyone believes that she’s going to like what she comes up with.

The Speaker of The House has succumbed to the constant and crushing pressure of the progressive pockets of the democratic party this week, launching a “formal impeachment inquiry” into President Donald Trump, spurred on by a whistleblower complaint alleging that the President sought foreign interference in the 2020 election via Ukraine.

For many on the right, this is simply nothing more than RussaGate 2.0, but the democrats are insisting that the simpler concepts involved in this go-round will resonate more easily with their constituents.

For former Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, however, there is another simple concept to behold:  That this fracas will expose the democrats for what they are and catapult the President and the republican party to victory in 2020.

“I think that it’s one of the dumbest and most ridiculous political moves that we’ve seen in history,” Sanders said on “Fox & Friends.”

“I think this should be looked at as an in-kind contribution to the president’s re-election campaign… All this is doing is helping fuel his campaign. They’re raising more money. They’re rallying his base and they’re unifying the Republican Party… by attacking this president.”

“It is absurd that they continue to go down this road and haven’t learned anything new from it,” she added. “I think the big loser in all this process has to be Joe Biden… So far the only inappropriate behavior that I’m seeing in this entire thing is that of Vice President Joe Biden, in order to help his son.”

Sanders’ pontification on the subject falls in line what what many republican strategists have already understood; that impeachment will fail in the Senate, barring any actual smoking guns, and that the President will wear this latest victory proudly as a feather in his cap as he saunters into his reelection.
