The dream has died for young Democrats the nation over this week. Their hero, their revolutionary stands vanquished.
Bernie Sanders needed a heck of a showing on Tuesday in order to remain relevant in the 2020 nomination process, as a surge by former Vice President Joe Biden on Super Tuesday a week ago complicated the Vermont Senator’s path to the presidency.
Now, after another series of electoral contests this week, it appears that the time is fast approaching at which we will be bidding adieu to Sanders.
Sanders supporter Kevin Neems called the results “depressing”.
“It’s just hard to understand. Hard to comprehend. Hard to wrap your head around,” he said.
Neems even gave a nod to the “powers that be” in his assessment, parroting a widely held theory that the Democratic establishment is out to get Sanders.
“He got millions of votes and his message resonates with young voters, but there were things that couldn’t necessarily be controlled,” Neems added. “It’s clear that the progressive movement is growing even if this is a setback.”
Sanders has yet to officially concede as of yet, which could set his supporters up for an even more rambunctious reaction later in the race, as they begin to envisions wild scenarios where Bernie could still rise to the occasion.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
