An old friend called me the other day and we spent over an hour on the phone catching up. It was a great time of reflecting and laughing at some of the stupid things we did when we were younger.
He and I use to love to talk politics. My dad had worked on the Barry Goldwater campaign in the 1960’s, and his dad was an intelligence officer who worked for the CIA. Growing up, both of us were avowed conservatives to the core.
My friend drifted back to the days of true conservatism, as he called it, and Ronald Reagan. He expressed disdain for the recent Republican nominees for President, McCain and Romney, and he was not a big fan of the Bush’s.
Amidst all this talk, I was astonished to find out he still supported and sent his children into the belly of the beast, the government school system.
If the educators assigned to instruct his children are not leftist, the egalitarian based curriculum is.
While he dreams of a return to the so-called good-old-days of Ronald Reagan, he is plopping his children down in the midst of Sodom and Gomorrah administered by the NEA – the National Education Association, which, by overwhelming numbers, supports and votes for the most liberal socialistic left wing candidates for public office.
Even if he strives to deprogram his children while sitting around the dinner table, most of their teachers and their peers embrace an anti-Christian anti-conservative worldview.
I believe it was Vladimir Lenin (some say Adolph Hitler) who stated, “Give me a child when he is five and he will be mine forever.”
This is the lesson the left has not only learned, but one it has implemented with a vengeance. The left is confident that they can so control the thought process of the next generation through indoctrination or in the very least damage them so badly that they’ll never upset the “natural order.”
Let the parents deal with them as they are learning to walk, talk and go to the bathroom, but the moment they turn five they are whisked away to begin the conditioning of making them future leftist obedient servants of the state.
Some, like my friend, who have woken up to this educational nightmare hold out hope that the government schools can be reformed. Perhaps they can, but they are still willing to send their children into these rat infested war zones known as public schools in the meantime.
And what will the result be? In which direction will these future voters cast their lot? Will we ever see another Ronald Reagan ascend to the office of President? I report, but you decided.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
