Who in their teenage years didn't enjoy the latest and greatest of Rock N Roll bands? I sure enjoyed my fair share and even in my later years, I still enjoy some of the rock music today. One band that I have never enjoyed is Pearl Jam; never truly understanding why until now.
It seems that lead singer of Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, almost wishes "bad things upon Second Amendment supporters." This guy is so far left you couldn't find him in a 100 acre field with binoculars. In fact, he may not mentally be on the same planet.
In an interview with Mark Richards, a professional surfer, Vedder aimed his far leftist view at the National Rifle Association and supporters of the Second Amendment of the Constitution.
According to The Blaze:
"The fact that we're living in a country where 90 percent of the people want further gun laws – to maybe somehow put a dent in some of this insanity that's happening – and yet there's no further legislation taking place, it's very frustrating and upsetting," said Vedder.
"If I didn't have music to kind of at least get some of the aggression out or take the edge off, you wouldn't want me having a gun either," he said to nervous laughter.
He later accused supporters of the Second Amendment of hiding behind the US Constitution, adding that they even defend themselves by arguing that guns are "fun."
"I get so angry that I almost wish bad things upon these people," Vedder said.
"But I don't have to because it seems like they happen anyways. It seems like every week I'm reading about a 4-year old either shooting their sister, their dad, their dog, their brother or themselves, because there's f***ing guns laying around. But I guess it's fun," he added.
Feel free to watch the clip. Advisory: strong language.
Mr. Vedder, I have a few words for you. I'll try to write in such a way that even your tainted far left brain can understand; although, it is difficult for me to write in "stupid and ignorant."
First of all, the percentage of people whom want further gun laws is not 90 percent. That number was put out there by the Morning Joe and has since been proven to be skewed. Do I need to define that word for you or can you look it up on your own? Just sing the ABC song and you will figure out where to look in the dictionary.
The insanity that is happening out there is called "crime" plain and simple. Crimes are not committed by law abiding citizens. Crimes are committed by criminals. Criminals do not follow laws. So, please tell me in your little rocker mind where gun laws, that criminals disobey anyway, helps anything? Maybe you haven't heard of Chicago? You know the city with the toughest gun laws that now has the worst gun crime in the US. It has been proven that the more citizens that are armed, the less crime occurs.
I suggest you talk to law abiding citizens who support the Constitution in its entirety. Never have I ever heard anyone who supports the Constitution, especially the Second Amendment, and owns a firearm defend themselves for the ownership by calling guns "fun." No one who supports the Second Amendment has to hide behind the US Constitution; we proudly stand in support of it and its support of God-given rights and limitations on government. The only individuals who ever think of guns as fun are young dumb punk thugs who believe it's cool to carry one in their baggy pants hanging below their bottom exposing their unclean underwear.
While firearms are used in sporting events and many individuals find these activities "fun," it does not necessarily equate to the unfounded statement you have made regarding Second Amendment supporters defending themselves with the precept of fun.
If you get so angry as to wish bad things upon people and have such an aggression problem that you cannot trust yourself with a firearm, it is highly recommended that you seek professional help as these feelings are abnormal and a sign of some mental defect. Although, being as far-left minded as you is a defect in and of itself. I'm sure with your resources you could find a highly qualified psychiatrist that could help you in this area.
Since you are reading weekly about 4-year-olds shooting their fathers, brothers, sisters, their dogs and themselves, perhaps you would be so kind as to back up your claims with sources for everyone to see instead of empty hot air rhetoric that has no basis in presented fact. I'm sure everyone would love to see these so-called stories that you are reading in order to find the facts instead of relying on your word since you have already presented less than factual statistics.
While you may not like firearms, that is your right. However, our country was founded as a Constitutional Republic dedicated to the preservation of individual God-given rights and limiting government intrusion in order for citizens to live their life, enjoy their liberty and pursue their happiness. One of those God-given rights is the right to keep and bear arms in order to defend oneself against tyrannical government and the right to survive in cases of threat to oneself. Remember, it has been those individuals who believe in the Constitution – support, uphold and defend it- that allow you to enjoy the freedoms you have today. One of those is the freedom of speech, no matter how disgusting it may be. And from what I can tell, yours can be pretty disgusting.
It never ceases to amaze me that individuals such as yourself, who get so much media attention, spout off at the mouth with opinions based on what the government Kool-Aid vendor presents to your brain. The creative part of your brain, given your musical inclination, has developed far beyond some of the rest of us; however, the critical thinking, deductive reasoning, logical thinking portion of your brain got left behind, left in your other pants or just didn't make it on the train. In other words, your elevator doesn't make it all the way to the top and you are certainly more than a sandwich shy of a picnic. Knowledge is a powerful tool. I suggest you get some on an issue you intend to discuss before going off halfcocked spouting off nonsense. Stick to your creative nature concerning your music as intelligent conversation is not your forte.
I'm sure it is difficult for a Godless person like yourself to understand God in all his divine wisdom not to mention the marvelous gifts He has bestowed upon his children. There are a number of pastors, ministers and priests whom I'm sure would be glad to minister to your soul and introduce you to Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour. I will pray for you, Eddie Vedder, for Jesus to watch over you and keep you safe. You will never truly be free until you know Our Lord and Saviour.
In the meantime, I will leave you with one piece of advice: Sometimes it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
