The democrats have again had their hopes renewed for a re-casting fo the Mueller report with the recent announcement that the Special Counsel himself will be blessing Capitol Hill with his presence.
Mueller, who vociferously voiced his opposition to such testimony during a recent, rare public appearance, will soon be sitting in front of lawmakers and the American public, answering questions about a report that he himself believes speaks for itself.
The President has repeatedly admonished democrats for this continued focus on the Mueller report , declaring that they should not receive the benefit of a "do-over". Upon Mueller's testimony being announced, Donald Trump responded via Twitter with a simple tweet claiming that this was "presidential harassment".
The left, however, see it as part of their roadmap to impeachment, with Hollywood now joining the progressive cacophony.
Hollywood director and left-wing activist Rob Reiner believes that former FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s upcoming public testimony before Congress could kickoff impeachment proceedings for President Donald Trump.
“On July 17, if Mueller just makes clear to the public what’s in his report, there will be no alternative but to open an Impeachment inquiry on the most criminal President in US history. #ImpeachmentInquiryNow,” Rob Reiner said.
While the democrats continue their push toward impeachment, the right side of the aisle sees quite a different opportunity for Mueller on the stand.
One bone of contention held by the conservatives has to do with the very impetus of the Mueller-led investigation, and whether or not a one specific and salacious document known as "The Steele Dossier" was instrumental in the creation of a FISA warrant used to surveil the Trump 2016 campaign.
Americans may be seeing their regularly scheduled fireworks show on July 4th, but there will certainly still be some sparks flying on July 17th as well.
