I learned something yesterday while listening to Talk Radio. I'm not even sure who brought it up, but they spoke of the Republican response to the State of the Union (SOTU) address and that it was presented in Spanish.
Since I just published an article about the various SOTU responses, and mentioned the Tea Party Express response, I thought they were speaking of Congressman Clawson's speech, presented partially in Spanish. You may review that article here.
But I was wrong – there was a fourth SOTU response, promoted by the Republicans and presented entirely in Spanish by freshman Florida pro amnesty Congressman Carlos Curbelo.
The first thing I thought – actually the second: the first was how many responses do we need?— was, "Oh good, a response in Spanish. That will promote the assimilation we preach."
After I got over the initial shock, I began to think about it. I found that Curbelo said he had obtained a copy of Joni Ernst's English language Republican response because he wanted to maintain a "fairly uniform message."
Having listened to and read Ernst's response, I already knew what she had spoken of. So then, not understanding Spanish, I read the English translated transcript of Curbelo's speech.
I found the messages are not uniform. While Ernst stressed her military service (thanks to her for that), her background and national security, she never mentioned a word about immigration – not once. Curbelo's was all about it.
In his response, he asked for Obama's cooperation to help the GOP come up with "permanent solutions to our immigration system." That's code, albeit thinly veiled, for we want amnesty too – let's get it done.
Breitbart reported that this is the fourth Republican SOTU response delivered in Spanish, but that the previous three have simply been translations of the English.
But not this time. One can only surmise that the establishment is trying to hide their true motives and intentions from us "English only" Gringos.
Then I thought – who else does this? Who else says one thing for English consumption and something different for other "non-English" speakers? Who else tries to mask their true intentions by presenting them in a form that we cannot understand?
Why, it's the Muslims! That's right – it's the Mullahs, the Imams, and the Clerics that make moderated speeches in English and preach something quite different in Arabic.
Yes, it's the Muslims that preach and publish brochures in both English and Arabic – like the bulletin proclaiming the construction of a new Mosque in Boston – yet only the Arabic version mentions the radical cleric Dr. Yusuf Abdullah al-Qaradawi, who preaches that Muslims will one day conquer the United States. His enthusiastic backing of the Mosque is never mentioned in the English language bulletin.
We've all heard or heard of many of these instances where Muslim Clerics will call for peace and brotherhood in English and the exact opposite in the Arabic version of the same speech. The leaders of Iran have done this on several occasions.
Now, I'm not for a moment equating establishment Republicans with radical Islamic Clerics, but I just thought it interesting – the similarity of this new Republican tactic.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter.
