"FBI chief James Comey and his investigators are increasingly certain presidential nominee Hillary Clinton violated laws in handling classified government information through her private e-mail server," the New York Post’s Charles Gasparino reported on Monday. He also quoted another former official as saying that, "You don't start granting people close to Clinton immunity unless you are seriously looking at charges against your target.”
Gasparino also said that the FBI has grown increasingly doubtful of Clinton’s story, pointing to obvious gaffes from Clinton herself and the fact that almost every government official has the training to understand that what she did was wrong. However, the FBI is also facing a lot of resistance from the Obama administration.
Trending: We Are Going Back To Hillary’s
FBI sources say he has no backing from President Obama and Attorney General Loretta Lynch to recommend charges against the former secretary, since a Clinton presidency may be the best chance to preserve the Obama legacy.
That leaves Comey in a bind: Does he do what is politically expedient and deny the reality that Clinton’s email server activities violated the law, or follow the evidence to wherever it takes him?
While it seems like law enforcement is more sure today than ever before that Hillary Clinton is a criminal, the chances of her being held accountable for her crimes still seem remote, thanks in large part o corruption within the Obama administration.
Former Ambassador John Bolton argued that he believes that the FBI will “explode” if Hillary Clinton is not indicted for her part in the ongoing email imbroglio. When radio host Aaron Klein asked Ambassador Bolton if he thought that Clinton could actually be indicted Bolton replied that he thinks it’s more likely than not.
“I think that the pressure is definitely building. And just take the politics out of this for a second. What Hillary Clinton and her top aides did is not just make a few small violations of laws to protect classified information. They made wholesale violations and they did it for a sustained, indeed for a four-year period.
So this is a far more serious than what happened to General Petraeus. And it’s one reason why I think that both the FBI and I believe the people in the Justice Department, the prosecutors who would oversee the handling of the case, are moving more and more to the conclusion that serious indictments are warranted here.
Now it’s possible that in this administration that politics can triumph over the legalities. But I think if that does happen, there’s a real risk for Obama and for the Attorney General that the FBI will explode. And a lot of things that we don’t know about, that are not on the public record at the moment, will come on the public record.
It may not be the same thing as firing Archibald Cox (the discharged Special Prosecutor) in the Watergate investigation, but if this potential prosecution is tanked for political reasons, it will be a very loud explosion. And it will stain Obama’s legacy forever. It will damage Loretta Lynch’s professional reputation and I think it will have a profound impact on the presidential election, as well.”
If Hillary Clinton avoids prosecution it will be a serious miscarriage of justice and one of the most egregious displays of the Obama team’s corruption that we’ve ever seen. Here’s hoping that the American sense of truth, honor, and justice wins out and Hillary Clinton stands trial for her misdeeds.
