Today, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) delivered a fiery interview with CNN’s Manu Raju over the latest impeachment inquiry hearings involving acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor.
Before Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper was scheduled to testify behind closed doors, a group of Republicans stormed a secure room, known as the SCIF, in protest. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) spoke with CNN’s senior congressional correspondent Manu Raju about what was revealed in top US diplomat in Ukraine Bill Taylor’s opening statement.
Manu Raju asked Rep. Mo Brooks about the opening statement, but Brooks interrupted saying the opening statement “doesn’t make any difference” and the whole process is a “sham.”
“The opening statement doesn’t make any difference!” Rep. Mo Brooks asserted. “You should not be relying on it! If you were in a court of law would you rely on the opening statement of an attorney or the first witness called? Or would you have cross-examination?”
“I’m asking about the substance of what he said,” Manu Raju interrupted.
Rep. Mo Brooks responded: “We don’t know whether what he said is true or not because of the sham process that’s being used.”
Let’s be clear on this is not an impeachment process. Since they have failed in overturning the 2016 election, this is now a direct effort to influence the 2020 election by having this narrative regurgitated non-stop in the press.

I’d like to see a chorus of GOP members defending our president. We’re certainly not there right now. I’m sick and tired of hearing junk about words Trump uses while ignoring the clear coup attempt. The GOP needs to step up and stop cowering in the corner like a scared dog.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
