Hot off the heels of a yet another controversy, freshman Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is back on the attack, voicing her opposition to President Donald Trump.
This week it was revealed that Tlaib was once removed from a Trump rally after protesting the then-candidate, with stunning video evidence of the incident.
The freshman Congresswoman is also infamous for her profane claim that she was going to “impeach the motherf**ker”, made during her swearing-in ceremony in Capitol Hill.
Now Tlaib is reiterating that belief in a big way, just hours after the aforementioned video surfaced.
Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan vowed to hold her ground during a speech in Detroit Monday, clearly responding to President Donald Trump’s attacks on the four Democratic congresswomen of color known as “the squad.”
“I’m not going nowhere, not until I impeach this President,” Tlaib said at the NAACP annual convention in Detroit.
This latest tiff against the President comes as “The Squad – a group of freshman Congresswomen to which Tlaib belongs – became the latest and most vocal opponents of Donald Trump, dominating the media landscape for days.
The attention-seeking movement includes perpetual social media content farm Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whose commentary on Washington DC and Donald Trump has made her one of the more famous, or maybe infamous, legislators in the nation.
