Why Rand Paul’s Economic Freedom Zones Doesn’t Mean Freedom For All

Since President Obama’s State of the Union address, Senator Rand Paul has been touring the country talking about his idea for “Economic Freedom Zones.” It sounds like a great idea, but do these zones mean freedom for all Americans?

While Swann does agree with the idea of opportunity and economic freedom, the problem is that what will take place in Paul’s “economic freedom zones” will be the opposite of what he is claiming. The government will pick winners and losers by choosing which cities will be the beneficiaries of the “economic freedom zones.” That’s bad for everyone.
