Public Impeachment Hearings Have Been Announced for Next Week

The Democratic impeachment show will being in earnest next week, according to new reports.

Set your DVR’s folks.  Pop the popcorn.  Cancel your plans.  The liberal left is getting ready to air their largest anti-Trump campaign ad of the year beginning in just a few days.

The drama of public impeachment hearings is all that the Democrats really desire. They understand explicitly that removing Trump from office, or otherwise reversing the 2016 election, doesn’t jibe with a Republican-controlled Senate, and so they are opting for the next best thing:  Wall-to-wall anti-Trump coverage on the news during this crucial lead-up to the 2020 election.

The first open hearings in the impeachment inquiry against US President Donald Trump will occur over two days next week, the congressman overseeing the process said Wednesday, as the investigation heads into a much-anticipated public phase.

Two US officials including William Taylor, the current top US diplomat to Ukraine who has bolstered the accusation that Trump sought to pressure Kiev to launch investigations that could help the president politically, will testify next Wednesday, House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff said in a statement.

The former US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, who told investigators she was ousted from her post over “false claims” spread by Trump allies, is scheduled to testify on Friday, November 15, Schiff said.

The Republican Party had long insisted that the Democratically controlled House committees bring the impeachment “inquiry” out of the shadows, where selective leaking and the partial dissemination of information was wholly controlled by left-leaning, anti-Trump leaders.
