Professor of feminist studies assaults pro-lifers
This is the way the left is when they want something done. Violence is not beneath them.
Just when one comes to the conclusion that the world cannot get any more strange, something happens to prove that dictum wrong. Dr. Mireille Miller-Young, a professor of feminist studies at University of California Santa Barbara has the distinguished notoriety of being a professor with an interesting area of expertise.
According to the professor's own college-based web page, she is listed as having expertise in "black cultural studies, pornography and sex work." Is that just fascinating? Black cultural studies, pornography and sex work. She has written a book. "A Taste for Brown Sugar: Black Women, Sex Work and Pornography" (forthcoming from Duke University Press in 2014) examines African American women’s representation and labor in pornographic media.
Dr. Miller-Young has the following listed as her areas of studies:
- Sex Work
- Black Film
- Popular Culture and Art
- Feminist & Queer Theory
- African American & African Diaspora Studies
- Visual Archives
- New Media
- Oral History
Oh, and she also led an angry mob to assault pro-life workers. "A pro-abortion feminist studies professor at University of California Santa Barbara reportedly attacked a young pro-life activist, stole and destroyed her sign, and encouraged a group of students to violence, inciting an angry mob."
Ah, but is that a problem these days? Not for the left. Today, in a Twitter convo, I said to a leftist that it was time to "knock" the lid off of the leftist ideals.

Her response to me was that only a right-winger would use a violent response. It didn't matter that I purposefully used "knock" instead of "blow" and pointed out it was a metaphor or figure of speech. This is what leftists do. They use these same metaphors, but when someone on the right does, it's wrong, it's violent.
But in this case, we have an example of a leftist using actual violence toward a person who believes in the sanctity of life. "Two pro-life students, Thrin and Joan Short, led the peaceful pro-life outreach event with 11 friends, most of whom were students from Thomas Aquinas College. They used signs displaying images of abortion victims to begin conversations with students before a confrontation by Professor of Feminist Studies, Mireille Miller-Young turned violent."
Ironic how violent some leftists can get when they see images of aborted fetuses. Campus police found the stolen sign shredded and with the evidence of deep scratches left by Dr. Miller-Young, their report is being submitted for prosecution. The one student, who was scratched, is only 16-years-old. Much of the physical interaction created by Miller-Young was caught on a smart phone. The video has recently been released and is available on the College Fix website, if you can't view below. The physical confrontation occurred in the college's "free speech" zone, interestingly enough.
The College Fix wrote about this event and began their article with these words: "A department of feminist studies professor has been accused of going berserk after coming across a campus prolife demonstration that used extremely graphic displays, leading a small mob of students to chant 'tear down the sign' before grabbing one of the signs, storming off with it, then allegedly engaging in an altercation with a 16-year-old prolife protestor who had followed the educator to retrieve it."
Isn't it interesting that these leftists who approve of the murder of unborn children seem completely afraid to see photos of babies that have been aborted. What are they afraid of if all they're looking at is "fetal tissue"? Maybe the problem lies in the fact that their consciences are not as seared as they would like them to be. Maybe the fact that these aborted children still look like human beings is enough to cause these leftists extreme emotional pain.
Either way, the left knows a thing or two about violence. What's more is that they don't hesitate to use it when they feel it moves their agenda forward. Of course, it's still against the law to use it like that, but has the law ever really stopped the left?Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter.
