Apparently the local Muslim community in Scotland wishes to distance itself from this prayer-leader-turned-commando. If the teachings of Islam are any indication, however, they’re either being deceitful (“Allah’s Prophet said, ‘War is deceit’” – Bukhari 4.268) or they’re inferior, low-grade Muslims (“Not equal are those believers who sit at home and receive no hurt … Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit at home” – Qur’an Sura 4:95).
