There are plenty of irrational fears out there regarding the presidency of Donald Trump.
This isn’t new, of course. From the very moment that Trump stepped onto the political scene there were such abominable tirades. He’s a racist. He’s a nationalist. He’s some sort of tyrant in the making.
Heck, there have even been some folks out there who are concerned that President Trump will refuse to leave office after his two terms are completed, or that he’ll ignore the results of the 2020 election if they don’t go in his favor.
If that’s the case, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has a plan.
From a recent town hall in Reno, Nevada:
A voter asked Buttigieg what he would do if Trump said, “No, this is all a hoax,” and refusing to concede.
Buttigieg said, “I mean, if he won’t leave, I guess if he’s willing to do chores, I guess we could work something out.”
He continued, “I think we want to set a goal of winning big enough that this election is way beyond cheating distance and that Trumpism goes into the history books, too.”
Buttigieg, who has claimed a big victory in Iowa despite the messy manner in which the results were disseminated, has been on the attack as the Nevada caucuses approach. It is widely believed that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders will walk away from the Silver State contest with a rather large margin of victory, which has forced a number of candidates to amplify their rhetoric in recent days.
Buttigieg’s “chores” comment could very well be a product of this necessary escalation strategy.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
