The sheer buffoonery of the Obama presidency would be comical if it didn't leave so much death and destruction in its wake. In spite of a vicious campaign of murder and the brutal imposition of Islamic law (sharia law), Obama rewards these devout barbarians with "peace talks." He has handed over the country to savages.
The Taliban continue to orchestrate insider attacks, killing our soldiers. They continue to poison girls' schools across Afghanistan, kidnap Red Cross workers, enforce the most brutal and extreme ideology on the face of the earth (the Sharia), and call for the defeat of American and coalition forces. These jihadists behead Afghan children, slaughter Afghans who dare to attend a party where dancing takes place, and mean to run Mullah Omar for President, despite the fact that there is still a $10-million-dollar reward on his head. Omar sheltered Osama bin Laden prior to the 9/11 attacks; he had a hand in the 9/11 attacks; and he has directed the Taliban's ongoing war against U.S.-led NATO forces. On what basis could a peace conference move forward? It is, in fact, a surrender.
Today Secretary of State Kerry called on the Taliban to get "peace" talks "back on track," after the Taliban killed 10 tourists (including one American).
Now this. Obama, please -- it would be preferable to be waterboarded than to be subjected to your sadistic brand of torture. Not only has he made America a a laughingstock, he is getting our soldiers killed (as well as anyone else these savages can get their claws on).
Say a prayer for our troops and our embassy personnel.
"Presidential palace in Kabul attacked" CBS News, June 24, 2013 (thanks to Bev Perlson)
A series of explosions rocked one of the most secure areas of the Afghan capital early Tuesday in an attack outside the presidential palace.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the early-morning attack that came when reporters were gathering for a news conference called by President Hamid Karzai, who was expected to talk about ongoing efforts to open peace talks with the militant group.
They counted at least seven or eight explosions and then about 45 minutes of an on-and-off gun battle.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid sent a text message saying the militants had "brought death to the enemy" with a suicide attack, but further details were not immediately available.
Kabul's police chief, General Ayoub Salangi, says the attackers managed to breached the entrance gate with a vehicle with a fake ID card, and the 3 to 4 attackers all died.
The palace is in a large fortified area of downtown Kabul that also includes the U.S. Embassy and the headquarters for the NATO-led coalition forces and where access is heavily restricted.
Lt. Col. Frank Hoelzner, a spokesman for the NATO coalition, said he had no immediate information but that the headquarters had not been affected by the attack. The U.S. Embassy was not immediately available for comment.
The Taliban have indicated they are willing to open peace talks with the U.S. and the Afghanistan government and just last week opened an office in Qatar for possible negotiations.
But at the same time they have not renounced violence and attacks have continued across Afghanistan.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
