The Obama administration is hell bent on completely demoralizing the American military along with our entire nation. I will not mince words as I tell you the latest casualty of Barack Hussein's war on the American nation that he presides over as President and which willing dupes went along with in 2008 voting him into office.
Last year the Obama administration informed Congress of plans to sell at least $60 billion worth of our fighter jets, explosives, missiles and other weaponry to the Saudi Arabian government.
The deal included 84 new F-15 fighter jets and an upgrade of 70 others according to the article in the Wall Street Journal. If you know your aircraft the F-15 is one of the fastest and most useful military aircraft we have in controlling an air war.
What I find most curious is we are somehow losing our minds that Iraq obtained one of our drones, but we are more than willing to sell some of our best and newest fighters to the Saudis. On top of that the technology of missiles and other military aircraft, including helicopters.
I know many will say that Saudi Arabia is our friend. well, if you recall weren't the majority of the alleged hijackers from Saudi Arabia? Wasn't Osama bin Laden from Saudi Arabia? as well as his family?
Look i realize that just because someone is from a certain place doesn't make the whole bad. However, here we are stripping (quite literally) the American people in airports, shredding the Constitution and violating the liberties guaranteed in the document which should be the law of the land, but now is hardly even a guide to many liberals and yet we are sending some of the best tools in our military arsenal half way around the world to another country.
This has unnerved not just Americans, but Israel as well, seeing that we have just upgraded the Saudi's military with improved hardware.
Earlier this month an article was written about President Obama wanting to deplete the nuclear arsenal of the United States by another 80%! You heard that right, 80%. Our military is desired to be and actually being systematically dismantled by our present Commander in Chief.
On top of that we come to the Pentagon's budget cuts in spending. The latest victims of the Obama administration's war on America are the men and women and families of our military. Healthcare in the military and among our veterans will be going up, way up.
A FreeBeacon.comarticle reports, “Under the new plan, the Pentagon would get the bulk of its savings by targeting under-65 and Medicare-eligible military retirees through a tiered increase in annual Tricare premiums that will be based on yearly retirement pay.” The article went on to say, “Significantly, the plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 78 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent—more than 3 times current levels.”
According to congressional assessments, a retired Army colonel with a family currently paying $460 a year for health care will pay $2,048!
One congressional aide said, ““Would you stay with a car insurance company that raised your premiums by 345 percent in five years? Probably not. Would anybody accept their taxes being raised 345 percent in five years? Probably not.”
They have proposed that military families and retirees pay significantly more for their healthcare than unionized civilian defense workers! This is an outrage. It is an outrage that we would sell out the people who wear the United States uniform and those who have worn it to this kind of thing while continuing to spend billions, if not trillions around the world in unconstitutional wars over alleged boogeymen.
Veterans, military people you should be up in arms about this! Yes, I totally understand that you volunteer to serve and I am truly thankful for each one that does so. Yet, I struggle to understand why you have your health expenses raised while the Pentagon's own people don't have such, neither do those in public office receive a cut in their paychecks.
“We shouldn’t ask our military to pay our bills when we aren’t willing to impose a similar hardship on the rest of the population,” said Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and a Republican from California. “We can’t keep asking those who have given so much to give that much more.”
These cuts have to be approved by Congress and legislation must be put in place for them to take effect.
However, we should be thinking of national defense, not defending everyone else in the world. Bring our troops home. Let's take care of them and let them be reminded of what they did enlist to protect: the American people and the Constitution, not Iraq, not Iran, not Afghanistan, not every other sand filled desert on the planet.
It use to be that we honored such men who served in the American forces, but today the government is all to happy with cutting them loose, charging them more, doing less for them, even denying their votes as past elections have shown. Even in this election process we see that the military largely supports financially one Republican candidate over the others combined and does the media really give that any attention? Nope!
It is a shameful thing taking place in our land where those who are willing to sacrifice what is most precious are treated as such. Please don't get me wrong here. I do not think we should elevate our service people as gods or say they can do no wrong. I do however think that in light of the fat cats that live in Washington living off the taxpayers and spending our money foolishly and then demanding that the military sacrifice even more so that they can maintain their elitist positions of power is utterly sickening and should bring a political revolution come November. Now the question is will you be a part of it?Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook, Google Plus, & Twitter. You can also get Freedom Outpost delivered to your Amazon Kindle device here.
