Obama DHS Grounds Surveillance Operation that Caught over 100,000 Illegal Aliens at Border

Well, the devil in the White House knows his time is short and eyes must be kept on him in his final days in office. Now, the Obama Department of Homeland Security, headed by Muslim sympathizer Jeh Johnson, has shut down a border surveillance operation that nabbed 110,000 illegal aliens attempting to cross the southern border.

Watchdog.org reports:

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security quietly shut down Operation Phalanx, an aerial surveillance program that intercepts drugs and illegal crossings along the Mexican border.

Cuellar, a member of the House Appropriations Committee and the Homeland Security Subcommittee, is drafting a letter to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson protesting the shutdown.

Customs and Border Protection head Gil Kerlikowske said the grounding of surveillance helicopters in Texas by DHS was problematic as they were critical to “countering illegal immigration” coming from Mexico.

Last February, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Laredo) challenged Johnson when DHS reduce the Phalanx flights, calling on the central government to “fulfill its obligation when it comes to securing the border.”

“Given the recent surge of migrants from Central America and Cuba along the southern border, we believe DHS should request more surveillance and security resources, not fewer,” Cuellar and Abbott wrote. “The fact that DHS now appears to be taking the opposite approach is unsettling.”

In late November, Governor Abbott, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) and Rep. Cuellar wrote to Johnson, “Given the continuing surge of migrants along the southern border … we believe DHS should be requesting more surveillance and security resources, not less.”

“DHS has not requested any flight hours to support Operation Phalanx for calendar year 2017,” even though the program received “a full appropriation of funds from Congress.”

In mid-November, Rep. Mike McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said in a statement:

“We cannot let our guard down on our southern border. … We must continue to utilize National Guard aviation assets to increase situational awareness and operational control of the border until DHS invests in additional aviation capabilities.”

So, when it comes to securing the border, the Obama administration has been one of the laziest and reckless administration’s in the history of the country… or, is it more like they are calculated rather than reckless? After all, this is the same administration that orchestrated a virtual invasion across our southern border just a few years ago and we have the documentation to prove they knew it was coming!

I ask Congress if they will deal with the treasonous actions of this usurper and those in his administration. I’m highly doubtful the American will see any form of justice come against them though as many of these people have been in the majority in the House and Senate for years and have shown themselves to be completely impotent.
