Donald Trump will almost certainly go down in history as one of the most maligned Presidents in US history, thanks to a concerted effort to demean and delegitimize the Commander in Chief.
These unscrupulous attacks have been lobbed from all corners of the political-media environment, and have taken horrifically hyperbolic turns in recent weeks. His immigration policies have seen the leader of the free world compared to Adolph Hitler on numerous occasions; a lazy and inarticulate smear that simply asks “what’s the worst name we can call Donald Trump?”.
Even more aberrant have been the constant attempts to diagnose the President with some sort of mental illness – almost always being provided by some pundit or figurehead with no medical or psychological training.

Such is the case with George Conway, again, today.

“Now @realDonaldTrump independently suffers from personality disorders that render him unfit, but he also clearly needs a full battery of tests for deteriorating mental capacity,” he said on Thursday.
He continued…
He was responding to a report that the White House said it was “ridiculous” for former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci to claim that Trump was “mentally declining.”
“Ridiculous?” Conway balked. “@realDonaldTrump has his prewritten speeches put on big text on big screens. Last week he read ‘Texas and Ohio’ as ‘Toledo,’ and said a massacre had occurred there. Last month he read something else on a teleprompter to say that the … Continental Army had secured the ‘airports’ during the American Revolutionary War.”
Conway, who is, again, not a medical professional of any sort, would go on to describe the President as being afflicted by “pathological narcissism”.
