Nevada County Commission to Vote on Anti-NDAA Resolution on Tuesday

You may remember Joshua Cook’s report about Daphne Lee of Clark County, Nevada, who waited 8 hours to present a passionate plea against the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to the Clark County Commission meeting in Nevada. Lee encouraged the commission to pass a resolution that had already passed the Las Vegas City Council. On Tuesday, her resolution comes up for a vote by the Clark County Commission.

Dan Johnson of PANDA (People Against the NDAA) is asking that individuals get involved to help put pressure on the County Commission.

Johnson advises that citizens take a couple of minutes and choose just two of the commissioners, which can be found here, and call or email them and thank them for voting “yes” on the resolution.

Johnson say that individuals, even those outside the county can call or email and use a simple script to voice their support for Daphne’s resolution.

This is (your name). I just wanted to thank you for taking up the Anti-NDAA resolution, and for voting YES on it this Tuesday.”

If you happen to live in Clark County, consider attending the meeting. A Facebook page for the event has been set up here.

While many are asking what they can do to stop an out of control federal government, these are the small ways in which individuals take back their country, at the local level. In essence, these city and county resolutions, and in some cases state resolutions, are the means of nullification that our founders had in mind of stopping the federal government in the event that they overstepped their bounds.

Over the past year PANDA has been instrumental in helping to get anti-NDAA resolutions passed across the United States. Oxford, Massachusetts was the latest to pass an anti-NDAA resolution, right on the heels of the passing of an anti-NDAA resolution in Albany, New York. Albany passed one of the strongest anti-NDAA resolutions there has been. In fact, it not only stated that it would not provide state resources (law enforcement) to aid the military in the unconstitutional acts of the NDAA, but it calls upon them to openly oppose, with force, those that seek to enforce such provisions against Albany citizens.

Please take the time and contact two of the county commissioners and encourage them to vote in favor of the resolution. It’s one small step you can take in recapturing your country from tyranny.
