We should have seen it coming, that’s for sure.
As the House Judiciary Committee begins to take up the mantle of impeachment, the nation has been left in the dark as to what to expect. This, in and of itself, was somewhat expected, after House Intel Committee Chair Adam Schiff worked diligently to keep his portion of the impeachment investigation as clandestine as possible, allowing the Democrats the ability to get out ahead of the news cycle and spin the media in their direction.
Now it’s House Rep. Jerry Nadler’s turn add his own stamp to the proceedings, and it appears as though he’s going to be playing the left’s “greatest hits” when hearings begin on Wednesday.
House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) wrote to President Donald Trump Friday, giving him until Friday, Dec. 6., to answer whether he and his lawyers would participate in the “impeachment inquiry.”
The word “again” suggests that the House Intelligence Committee will not limit its report to allegations that Trump invited Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election, but will also state that Trump sought Russian interference in the 2016 election — even though Special Counsel Robert Mueller found there to be no evidence of such collusion.
President Trump warned the nation months ago that the Democrats could be looking for a “redo” of the Mueller investigation, and here we have it.
