Muslim Brotherhood Defies Emergency Order – Take To Streets In “Day of Rage” As Death Toll Climbs In Egypt

The Egyptian government had to clean out the Muslim Brotherhood’s terror camps — there were independent entities preparing for civil war where people were being tortured and murdered. Obama was wrong to criticize the Egyptian government while expressing no solidarity with the soldiers and police officers who were brutally murdered by the Muslim Brotherhood. Did anyone think the global jihadist Muslim Brotherhood was going to go quietly?

Obama must correct his catastrophic mistake. He supported the Brotherhood from day one of his presidency. He has MB advisors in his administration. He invited the Muslim Brotherhood to his speech in Cairo in 2009 (despite the fact that they were banned). His Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, called Egypt’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood movement “largely secular.”

He threatened any opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood with withdrawal of billions in US aid after he helped oust Mubarak. His bloody hands are all over this.

Yesterday he said, “we don’t take sides.” But once again, he is lying. We did take sides. The wrong side.

Obama’s silence on the mass cleansing of Christians and churches in Egypt is unconscionable. It is a horror we will never live down.

Deaths reported as thousands of Morsi supporters march in Egypt’s ‘Friday of anger’ FOX

Tens of thousands of Muslim Brotherhood supporters stormed the streets of Cairo Friday, some chanting “down with military rule!” as the embattled country braced for more protests over a crackdown on Islamists.

Supporters of deposed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi marched in several Cairo neighborhoods and other towns across the country, protesting a military-imposed state of emergency after massive bloodshed earlier this week.

The protesters poured out of mosques after traditional mid-day prayers, responding to the Muslim Brotherhood’s call for a “Day of Rage” as armored military vehicles sealed off main squares in the Egyptian capital and troops with machineguns stood at the ready on key junctions.

Witnesses say tear gas was fired and shots rang out in a main Cairo square Friday, according to a Reuters report. State television reported that Egypt’s army and police will deal firmly with any violation of the law, as security tightened around the country. The military is deploying to guard “vital installations, “according to the state media report.

Reuters also reported that four protesters were killed in the Egyptian city of Ismailia Friday, in clashes with security forces, according to medical sources.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood defies emergency order, takes to streets in “Friday of anger” JihadWatch

More bloodshed is certain to ensue. Calling the struggle (jihad) to overthrow the regime an “obligation” is to put the conflict in specifically Islamic terms: jihad becomes obligatory on every Muslim if a Muslim land is attacked. That is how the Brotherhood is framing its removal from power.

“More clashes feared as protesters vow ‘Friday of anger’ in Egypt,” by Reza Sayah and David Simpson for CNN, August 16:

Cairo (CNN) — As Egypt faces the gruesome aftermath of clashes that left hundreds dead, demonstrators plan to defy an emergency order and take to the streets to mark “Friday of anger.”

The Muslim Brotherhood promised huge protests, and Egypt’s military government showed no sign of easing its crackdown, setting the stage for what could become another catastrophic encounter of security forces and protesters.

“The struggle to overthrow this illegitimate regime is an obligation,” the Muslim Brotherhood said on its website Friday, while urging people to protest peacefully….
