The Democratic insistence that Donald Trump is on the path to impeachment has been a talking point shouted from the rooftops of liberal Washington for weeks.
They see the President’s actions on Ukraine as some sort of golden ticket to reverse the results of the 2016 election, and they are moving full steam ahead in their propaganda campaign. The mainstream media has been unsurprisingly complicit in this narrative, hoping to divide the nation down the line of impeachment in order to drum up ratings and revenue.
Unfortunately for our nation, this Democratic drivel and its amplification within the infotainment industry seems to have had an effect on the nation at large.
Currently, 52% say Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while 46% say he should not be. This is roughly the opposite of what Gallup found in June when asked in the context of special counselor Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Since June, Democrats’ and independents’ support for impeachment has grown, while Republicans’ views have not changed. The change among independents is enough that a majority of that group (55%) now favors Trump being impeached and removed from office. Support for impeachment was already high among Democrats, at 81%, but now approaches 90%. Just 6% of Republicans are in favor of Trump being impeached.
This mirrors a poll conducted by Fox News, (and lambasted by President Trump), just days ago that showed an eerily similar level of support for impeachment and removal.
Given the makeup of the Senate, and the President’s consistent denials of wrongdoing in the matter that launched this “formal impeachment inquiry”, there seems to be little chance that the removal of Donald Trump from the White House is coming, making this poll nothing more than a referendum on the effectiveness off the mainstream media to indoctrinate the masses.
