Many of today's "Christian conservatives" would rather take the route of compromise rather than stand firm upon the truth. This is displayed in who they vote for and their ability to cave in on various issues, whether social, moral, political or economical. One would wonder if they were given a choice as to whether or not they would choose Ronald Reagan or Jesus Christ as their leader if many would not select Reagan. This was pointed out earlier this week.

"Did God ever once promise His children defeat?" The Sons of Liberty radio show host Bradlee Dean asked earlier this week. "Where has God ever failed a faithful man or woman of God? Let that alone rebuke the disobedience, which is found in a plethora of professed Christians, conservatives and patriots."

Referencing the 2004 Constitutional Party's presidential candidate Michael Peroutka, Dean quoted him as saying, "Bradlee, if you go into these conservative meetings, if you had Ronald Reagan there and you had Jesus Christ in the same room, they would flock to Ronald Reagan."

"Because they want a government that looks just like them," Dean added. "Not the One that gave it."

"They see the Jesus that I serve, the Captain of my salvation," Dean thundered. "They look at him as an austere man. He's too hard. No, He's not. He knows what He's doing, and He knows what He's doing with his disciples."

And what is it that Christ is doing with his disciples?

Dean says, "He's bringing them through 'basic training,' called 'this present world' (Titus 2:12; 2 Tim. 4:10; Gal. 4:14) to get us ready to be enamored with glory and power for the next. We are being prepared!"

So, the question remains, where in the Bible did God ever once promise His children defeat? Where has God ever failed a faithful man or woman of God?

Bradlee Dean answers affirmatively, "You can't find 'em."

Now, I pose a question to those who name the name of Christ is, are you taking God at His promises and doing what needs to be done? Are you taking a stand against what is evil? Are you standing for what is good? Or are you complaining, venting frustration and speaking of defeat?
