As Americans continue to “wake up” to the nonsensical political optics game, many of the formerly “tried and true” tactics of the Washington elite will begin to fail…miserably.
Those who are now finding themselves somewhat enlightened tend to eschew the division that the mainstream media creates, turning instead to the concept of being “American” first, and then whatever political or ethnic label they want you to adhere to. For politicians who rely on race-baiting for popularity, this means that dark days are ahead. No longer will they be able to separate us into well-defined voter demographics on account of our faux-tribal identities.
Kamala Harris, one of an exorbitant number of 2020 candidates for the democratic nomination, is learning this the hard way after months of playing the race card has backfired spectacularly.
The latest Quinnipiac Poll reveals that Harris has dropped to just one percent of support among black Democrats — one of the party’s most vital voting bloc coalitions.
For black Democrats, Harris is the last 2020 Democrat pick amid the party’s leading presidential primary candidates, following former Vice President Joe Biden with 47 percent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) with 16 percent, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) with eight percent, and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) with two percent.
Of Harris’ more sensational failures was an attempt to endear herself to the cannabis-friendly millennial crowd by claiming that she smoked marijuana in her dorm room while listening to Tupac Shakur records – a claim that the Senator made during Black History Month.
This assertion was swiftly debunked, as Shakur and other hip hop artists that Harris mentioned had not yet released any albums at the time in which she was in academia.
Furthermore, Harris’ nonchalant quip about smoking weed, accompanied by a flippant laugh, was lambasted by fellow democratic candidate Tulsi Gabbard at a recent debate, demonstrating Harris’ hypocrisy as a former prosecutor who made a living locking up non-violent drug offenders.
