We've all heard the statement, "We are a nation of laws, not men." For hundreds of years that has been true, until now. It seems we are now a nation of one man who makes law.
Obama's defenders have, in lockstep, continued to state that, in fact, Obama has issued far fewer executive orders as have past presidents.
Now, any non-sycophantic thinking American would retort that it's not the quantity but the quality, or in this case, the severity of the damage to the country and the Constitution.

But frankly, at this point, he could say to his critics that he is willing, for the balance of his presidency, to issue but one more order and that will be to nullify the United States Constitution.
Obviously that would be unreasonable, at least to some, but certainly not all.
Therefore, in lieu of that, I propose to dismantle the legislative branch of the government and replace the House and Senate with suggestion boxes.
Think that's a joke? Think again.
What have we consistently heard from are spineless Republican leadership? That we're only 1/3 of 1/5 of pi divided by the square root of the legislature, or something.
The Republicans say there is very little they can do. Really! If that's the case, why then are they even there? What good are they?
Obama has made at least 27 changes to Obamacare on his own with no constitutional authority to do so.
He has changed immigration law with either the stroke of his magic pen or simply instructed departments to disregard the law.
Recall Sheila Jackson Lee, Democrat from Texas and possibly the dumbest human (at least I think she is) ever to hold elective office, saying she and her leftist colleagues should write executive orders for Obama to sign.
So I say, let's just cut out the middleman, as it were and install thousands of suggestion boxes around the country. Obama can simply choose the ones he likes and sign them into law.
Grade school children, as part of the Common Core Curriculum, could design, build and decorate the boxes with popsicle sticks and glitter.
Just think of the money we will save not having to pay for the House and Senate and all their staff, handlers and advisers.
With no Congress to lobby, K-Street would fold up shop and all that corporate cash used to beg for favors could be reinvested in their businesses.
All the money we citizens waste donating to inept congressional campaigns could be given to charity or help to pay our Obamacare premiums. Everybody wins!
Seriously; if we continue down the path of simply reelecting the same old jelly spine Republicans, we might as well get rid of them all and replace them with Obama boxes.
