Joe Biden isn’t known for his wit, brevity, or tact, but his latest faux-pas on the campaign trail is far too serious to ignore.
For many, Biden has been little more than a goofball. His errant gaffes and bewildering instance of marble-mouthed insanity have been somewhat humorous and more than a little entertaining at times. The longtime Senator seems to suffer from a chronic penchant for putting his own foot in his own mouth – a problem that grows exponentially and in sync with the amount of exposure he receives.
But his latest slip of the tongue is far more worrisome, and may reveal something sinister about “Sleepy Joe” that the democrats aren’t willing to face.
“We should challenge these students, we should challenge students in these schools to have advanced placement programs in these schools,” the former vice president said when discussing the need to improve America’s education system. “We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor you cannot do it, poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
Biden quickly attempted to correct himself, but not before many observers were citing Sigmund Freud.
The former Vice President and longtime Senator’s record on race relations has been repeatedly called into question during the 2020 presidential campaign, with many far-left democrats bristling at Biden’s centrist slant.
This latest linguistic lapse certainly isn’t going to help.
