Thursday is going to be a day that few of us will soon forget, as Special Counsel Robert Mueller takes the stands before Congress and the American people.
The former FBI head will be gracing Capitol Hill with his presences, quite reluctantly, in order to be grilled by legislators regarding his 440+ page report on Russian election interference in the 2016 presidential race.
For the democrats, this will be an inquisition into the behavior of President Trump, (as all things tend to become when we’re talking about the democrats). They would like nothing more than for Mueller to elaborate their own beliefs on “obstruction”, and to do so in a public and undeniable manner.
To what end, though? Nancy Pelosi has already squashed every inkling of impeachment talk. What does Mueller’s testimony add to the equation?
For the republicans, they will finally have an opportunity to dig into the origins of the RussiaGate investigation itself – specifically whether or not the alleged “spying” by the FBI on the Trump campaign in 2016 was legal and/or ethical. This should be enough to have folks like James Comey shaking in their boots.
Judging by his latest outburst, the disgraced former FBI chief certainly appears rattled.
We have long had ugly margins in this country, but we are a fundamentally decent people, with shared values. We treasure our identity as a nation of immigrants. With our voices and our 2020 votes, we must send Donald Trump and his mob back to their dark corner.

Concerns over Comey’s involvement with a particular FISA warrant, possibly based on the faulty and unverifiable “Steele Dossier”, has led many to believe that the former spook was integral in the concoction of the RussiaGate narrative in order to artificially create support for failed 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
