Iran accuses United States of ‘false flag’ attack in case of Japanese tanker

As tensions in the Middle East continue to rise, Iran is sinking to new lows in their quests for international attention.

The Persian nation has been on the offensive in recent weeks as international sanctions on the rabble-rousing Mideast country continue to be punish the regime’s poor global behavior.  Just weeks ago, for Saudi oil tankers were attacked in the waters off of Iran in an explosive underwater melee.  Just hours later, an aerial drone bombing did serious damage to Saudi oil pipelines as well, with both incidents being attributed to Iran almost immediately.

In what seems to be becoming a pattern, a Japanese oil tanker suffered major damage just yesterday after magnetic mines exploded while attached to the hull.

The United States and others in the region immediately blamed Iran for the attacks, and have provided video evidence purporting to show an Iranian vessel returning to the scene of the crime to remove an unexploded ordinance.

Iran is now preposterously suggesting that the entire series of events are nothing more than a “false flag” attack by the US itself.

“The US and its regional allies must stop warmongering and put an end to mischievous plots and false flag operations in the region,” Iran’s mission to the United Nations said.

“Warning, once again, about all of the US coercion, intimidation and malign behaviour, Iran expresses concern over suspicious incidents for the oil tankers that occurred today.”

Iranian officials continued:

“Iran categorically rejects the U.S. unfounded claim with regard to 13 June oil tanker incidents and condemns it in the strongest possible terms,” the Iranian mission said in a statement.

The hardline Islamic nation added that the US poses the “most significant threat” to the peace and security of the Persian Gulf region.

The US has not responded to these bizarre allegations.
