Hollywood actress issues profane gun rights debate challenge to Ted Cruz

The stark professional differences between celebrities and politicians have been blurred in recent years, thanks in no small part to the work of the corporate media machine.

We turn on the television today and we see Americans who exist in an upper echelon of sorts, and whose opinions are being highly regarded, regardless of their value.  We simply believe that being worthy of television time makes these icons worthy of authority of some point.  Politicking today is a dramatic endeavor, after all, and relies on the idea of appealing to your constituents in often-emotional pleas for change.

It’s a similar tactic to actors and actresses in Hollywood, who employ their skills in order to rile up the nation’s moviegoers, further muddying the waters of entertainment and governance.

In 2019, this amalgam of thespians and legislators has jumped the shark, to speak in the parlance of Hollywood itself, and has lead us into a world where former A-list actresses feel as though their opinions on highly complex constitutional matters hold the same weight as those of their political counterparts.

Actress turned left-wing activist Alyssa Milano challenged Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to a debate on gun rights but posed the event as a platform where she can expose Cruz’s “bullshit” to the American people firsthand.

I’d love to come in and meet with you on the gun issue and many other issues that include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, @tedcruz and also, 1 Peter 4:8,” Milano wrote in response to Cruz’s lengthy thread, addressing one of her previous questions.

Milano then turned profane.

“I’ll be in DC next week. We can live-stream the meeting so the American people can hear your bullshit 1st hand,” the actor added.

Cruz responded with his signature level-headedness.

As of this writing, there has been no official response from Cruz indicating whether or not he’ll take Milano up on her offer.
