Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has consistently mocked anti-Islamic Jihad concerned American citizens. Who can forget when Clinton mocked people concerned about Islamic jihad in remarks she read to the Council on Foreign Relations?
She reportedly, “slowed momentarily to mock three words – ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ – that Republicans often accuse President Barack Obama of purposefully avoiding.”
Her position on Islam is also curious, especially after Islamic terrorist groups claim responsibility for the threat and actions they initiate. She maintains:
“Islam itself is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”
Every terrorist threat attempted or committed on American soil, or directed towards Americans, has been carried out by Islamists (with the exception of the Puerto Rican separatists who bombed Fraunces Tavern in Lower Manhattan in 1975).
ISIS, a terrorist group, claims responsibility for its attacks, beheadings, videos, and even warns Western leaders of its plans to destroy their cities. Yet, she and Obama both deny the group has anything to do with Islam.
Perhaps her defense of Islam is directly linked to the money the Clinton Foundation received from Islamic countries.
According to The Wall Street Journal, between 2001 and 2014, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE gave a total of $18-50 million to the Clinton Foundation (roughly 1.4-4 percent of contributions it received over these 13 years).
- The Saudi Arabian Kingdom- $10 million to $25 million,
- Qatar- $1 million to $5 million
- The Sultanate of Oman gave the foundation between $1- 5 million, and
- UAE- $1 million to $5 million
A total number of governments contributing, the Journal noted, which in 2014 appeared to have doubled from the previous year.
And, these countries, McClatchy New Service, points out, gave roughly five-times less to organizations committed to humanitarian relief, like the International Committee for the Red Cross, than they did to the Clinton Foundation.
The Washington Post, Politico, and CBS News published stories raising questions about these donations. But an investigation by The International Business Time suncovered a direct link between Clinton Foundation donations and government approved contracts. It reported:
Under Clinton’s leadership, the State Department approved $165 billion worth of commercial arms sales to 20 nations whose governments have given money to the Clinton Foundation, according to an IBTimes analysis of State Department and foundation data. That figure — derived from the three full fiscal years of Clinton’s term as Secretary of State (from October 2010 to September 2012) — represented nearly double the value of American arms sales made to the those countries and approved by the State Department during the same period of President George W. Bush’s second term.
The Clinton-led State Department also authorized $151 billion of separate Pentagon-brokered deals for 16 of the countries that donated to the Clinton Foundation, resulting in a 143 percent increase in completed sales to those nations over the same time frame during the Bush administration. These extra sales were part of a broad increase in American military exports that accompanied Obama’s arrival in the White House. The 143 percent increase in U.S. arms sales to Clinton Foundation donors compares to an 80 percent increase in such sales to all countries over the same time period.
American defense contractors also donated to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state and in some cases made personal payments to Bill Clinton for speaking engagements. Such firms and their subsidiaries were listed as contractors in $163 billion worth of Pentagon-negotiated deals that were authorized by the Clinton State Department between 2009 and 2012.
It’s pretty obvious why Hillary is lying about Islam. She and many others can profit from it and the military conflicts resulting from Islamic terrorism.
