The parents of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner, who was killed on Saturday night when a group of people opened fire on a car that she was traveling in, sounded off on her death during a press conference noting the seemingly empty words of Black Lives Matter activists.
“They say black lives matter,” Turner’s father said. “You killed your own. You killed your own this time. … They killed my baby because she crossed the barrier and made a U-turn. You killed a child. She didn’t do nothing to nobody.”

“They didn’t give us time to make a U-turn,” Turner’s mother said. “They started shooting at my car before we could even make a U-turn. Shooting my tires out, like why?”
“But black lives matter,” the father, seemingly sarcastic, chimed in.
“My baby was shot,” the mother said, appearing exhausted over the traumatic event.
“Killing your own,” the father added. “You killed an 8-year-old child. She ain’t did nothing to no one of y’all. She just wanted to get home to see her cousin. That’s all she wanted to do. She just wanted to get home.”
WSB:
An 8-year-old girl was shot and killed Saturday night in Atlanta near the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks died last month.
Police identified the child Sunday as Secoriea Turner.
Officers said they responded to a shooting call near University Avenue and I-75/I-85 around 9:50 p.m. The location of the shooting was in a parking lot across the street from the now burned-out Wendy’s, which has been occupied by demonstrators since Brooks’ death.
Police said Turner was riding in a car with her mother and her mother’s friend when they exited the interstate at University Avenue. The driver tried to turn into the parking lot at 1238 Pryor Road when he was confronted by an “group of armed individuals” who had blocked the entrance.
“At some point, someone in that group opened fire on the vehicle, striking it multiple times and striking the child who was inside. The driver then drove to Atlanta Medical Center for help,” police said in a statement. More
Wow, now ask yourself why is this not front-page news everywhere? The area should have been secured by now since we already know that armed protesters had threatened, punched a person, damaged a car, and refused to let it pass them just because the occupants had white skin. This mayor has blood on her hands.
