Got Obamacare? Then Colorado Says You’re Ready to Party & Have Sex

So the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, along with the ProgressNow Colorado Education, have rolled out their official Obamacare ads for their “Thanks Obamacare Campaign” at

When you go to their site, you will be welcomed with a VERY ORIGINAL “got insurance?” slogan. They must have some real marketing geniuses over there and when you see the ads, we are sure you will agree (and we say that with as much sarcasm as possible).

Of the 21 ads they have posted on their website, 9 of them reference and promote having sex, taking drugs and (no not rock and roll) drinking alcohol. These ads seem to be pushing the limits, especially since they have obviously set it up to be pushed via Social Media where so many are underage. As you review these ads below, stop and ask yourself how it would make you feel to have your teen or preteen son or daughter seeing these ads. So let’s have a look at some of them. While we see what they were TRYING to do here, and overlooking their lack of originality, we find it to be a little less than tasteful and probably even less effective but hey, you gotta give credit where credit is due, at least their website works.
