GOP Delegate Is Mad That His Candidate Lost – Files Lawsuit to Change Rules

There is nothing wrong with being devoted. We could use a little more devotion in our society. But we also have to remember that we are a people of law. At least we should be a people of law. Now we have become a society of spoiled children.

Case in point is that of a GOP Delegate in Virginia. He no longer wants to play by the rules because his man did not win. And he is suing to ensure he is not jailed. That’s right; he wants to change the election laws in his state just for him.

A Virginia delegate to this summer’s Republican National Convention filed a lawsuit Friday challenging a state law which commits him to backing presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.

Carroll B. Correll, who served as a campaign co-chair for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Virginia’s 10th congressional district, is seeking class-action status for his suit on behalf of the commonwealth’s 49 Republican delegates and 110 Democratic delegates.

At issue is a Virginia law that states “Delegates and alternates shall be bound to vote on the first ballot at the national convention for the candidate receiving the most votes in the primary unless that candidate releases those delegates and alternates from such vote.”

Correll simply is not getting his way and wants to do something to get out of doing what he swore to do at the convention. He knew well that if Trump won Virginia, he would have to cast his vote for Trump. If he felt he would not have been able to do that, he should not have asked to be a delegate.

So here we have the same kind of childish behavior from a “Conservative” that we often see in Liberals. He is not getting his way, so like a child he wants to turn a 200-year-old+ process on its head. Is this not what children do when they do not get what they want?  Are we not seeing that these so called conservatives are no better than the “ends justifies the means” Liberals.

David said of a righteous man, “He swears to his own hurt and does not change,” Ps. 15:4. If Correll were a man of honor and his word, he would swallow his childish pride and do what he promised to do. If he cannot do that, he should step down and let an alternate take his place.
