Freshman democrat exposes ‘quite real’ rift in party, thanks to Nancy Pelosi

The democrats are once again demonstrating one of the the great weaknesses within their progressive ideology this week, as they continue to bicker over how best to “resist” the President.

From the very start, Donald Trump has been the sworn enemy of the left.  They simply refuse to work with him for any reason at all, choosing instead to smother his policy plans with a carte-blanche resistance to the very idea that he is President.

This has unsurprisingly backfired spectacularly for the democrats, who have as many opinions on any given subject as they have nostrils.  Now, the fight over whether or not to impeach Donald Trump based on the democratic interpretation of the Mueller report is taking a particularly nasty turn as newcomer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez butts head with Madame Speaker, Nancy Pelosi.

Ocasio-Cortez said, “I think that impeachment is incredibly serious, and this is about the presence and evidence that the president may have committed a crime, in this case, more than one. And so I believe that our decision on impeachment should be based in our constitutional responsibilities and duties and not in elections or polling.”

When asked if “progressive frustration,” with Pelosi is real, Ocasio-Cortez responded, “I think it’s quite real. I believe that there is a very real animus and desire to make sure that we are — that — that we are holding this president to account.”

Nancy Pelosi has long maintained that Donald Trump’s impeachment, likely to fail in the Senate, would be an albatross around the neck of all democrats up for election or re-election in 2020.
