Former White House Adviser Lashes Out After Trump Allegedly Punishes Vindman

In the fallout of President Trump’s impeachment acquittal, there are growing fears among the Democrats that the Commander in Chief could embark on a vengeful tirade, not unlike the mythical “Hell Ride” of legendary cowboy Wyatt Earp.

We have certainly already witnessed a turn in Trump’s attitude.  The President is far more assertive and bold now that he’s been gifted an exoneration in the Senate, and those who may be on his bad side have been on the receiving end of some stern statements.

This includes Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, former member of the National Security Council, who testified against Trump during the House’s impeachment hearings.  With Vindman now on the outs with the White House, one former Trump adviser is defending the Ukraine expert in the media.

Former White House chief of staff John Kelly said Wednesday that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was following his military training when he chose to report President Donald Trump’s now infamous July phone call with the president of Ukraine.

That decision last summer ultimately led to the army officer’s ouster from a position with the National Security Council earlier this week, which in turn has stoked fears of a post-impeachment retribution campaign by the president.
