Just a few months ago, in May or June, Iran publicly asked the United States for help regarding ISIS. When I first heard this, I couldn’t believe it. Our mortal enemy Iran, asking for our help.
John Xenakis at Breitbart reported at the time that Professor Fawaz Gerges of the London School of Economics said, “One of the most important developments to come out of this particular crisis is the convergence of interests of the United States and Iran. Both powers have vested interests in stopping the ISIS surge. Iraqi is the most pivotal ally of Iran. And the United States fears that ISIS could really present a threat not only to Iraq’s integrity, but for regional stabilities.”
Oh yea! We now have something in common with the extremist regime in Iran – the same Iran that wishes to destroy the West. My, what a strange bedfellow.
But wait, it gets better. Former British “Head of the Army,” General Lord Richard Dannett said that his country should form an alliance with not only Iran but also Assad’s Syria.
Wow, this is like déjà vu, all over again! Just last month, I wrote an article about Assad manipulating this very scenario. You may review it here.
British Prime Minister David Cameron, who has certainly been more strident than our own fearful leader said, “My argument is you need that mixture of intelligent politics, diplomatic pressure, long-term engagement in a comprehensive plan as well as the potential for military or other more aggressive action.”
Folks – have we learned nothing over the years? The enemy of my enemy is not my friend, and will never be – particularly if those enemies are radical Islamists, like Iran.
Neither the Mullahs in Iran or Assad in Syria could ever be our allies, but I can almost guarantee that Obama and the elitist academics who advise him are surely considering it. Any way to avoid the heavy lifting in that region.
So now we learn, just a few days ago, that Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has authorized his top military commander to begin to coordinate with the United States and the UK.
Now why would the leader of Iran “agree” to such a thing unless someone (us) put an offer on the table?
And that brings us back to Obama – the great “coalition” builder. I’m not big on coalitions, but some are certainly better than others.
Obama wishes to put together a coalition with whomever, including “The Devil” to avoid being held responsible, or having to make any real decision.
But we’re not talking about fighting Hitler’s Germany or Imperial Japan. We’re talking about a relatively small group of jerkwad jihadis.
America is, or at least was, the baddest M-Fer on the planet. We used to kick butt for breakfast and take names at lunch. We used to run toward the flight – not because we wanted to, but because we were compelled to, to defend ourselves and our allies.
The free world looked to America and we always took that call. But now we build coalitions, we make unholy alliances with anyone and everyone to avoid being the superpower.
So no doubt, Obama, Kerry, and the gang will agree to lift sanctions on Iran. But they’ll need a “promise” that Iran will curb its nuclear ambitions, which it will – not actually do, but just promise to. And we will take them at their word. Anything for the coalition.
And in the end, if all goes well, ISIS will be wiped out and Iran will be free to annex Iraq, which is what it wanted in the first place.
And, one way or another, Obama will claim victory while safely hiding under his “Coalitions” petticoat.Don't forget to Like Freedom Outpost on Facebook and Twitter, and follow our friends at RepublicanLegion.com on Instagram.
